Our Process

Tinplate inspection

  • Concerning to lithography tinplate or coated tinplate is verified the anchoring of enamels, inks and varnishes.
  • In addition we check the colour tones of lithography are within established standards.

  • Our process continues in the cutting department, here the can bodies, and/or straps for tops and bottoms are cut.
  • We count with double shears knives and single shears knives.
  • An intermediate quality checking is carried out during day process, it consists in verify height and width measures, and also square angles and refine purity.

Pressing

  • Following our process we get to the pressing department. It is composed by different pressing machines for manufacturing of compounds, tops and bottoms.
  • The carried out quality verifying during day process, consists in checking the tops height measures, bottoms curvature and curling, and so the inside and outside diameters of curling, and crimped of tops and bottoms.

Aplication of sealant compound

  • This process consists in application of sealant compound to the pressed tops and bottoms to obtain the more confidence in seaming.
  • Every single machine counts with its own oven-dry.
  • In this point an inspection is done, it consists in checking the wet weight and the dried weight of the sealant compound applied to each one of the compounds.

Assembly

  • Our process continues in the assembly department in the respective continuing production lines for the different diameters depending of required heights.
  • In the near future we will be owners of a continuing assembly production line able to apply varnish on welding (inside and outside stripe).
  • The quality control carried out in lines consists in testing 100 cans randomly separated, they are sent to a testing department (final inspection), in which they test the behavior of welding and seaming of tops and bottoms. Same way they check the total heights, edge to edge, printing or label zone, curling, seamed hooks, seamed heights, inside and outside curling diameters and tops and bottoms seams.

Final inspection

  • The most relevant process in the final inspection, this is done in the final inspection department, verifying the selected samples from assembly lines, they consists in 15% of total production, checking every single sample can, in order to avoid the presence of leaks and/or micro-leaks, as in welding or tops and bottoms seams.
  • The final inspection department has a water de-mineralized process.
  • This process consists in injecting compressed air by 130 pounds/inches², and immerses the can within a bathtub e with water and check the can behavior, then the cans go to elimination of excess of water by blowing them and placing them into a hot air tunnel, and in the end the cans are packed.
